I never take more than 10. One should avoid excess unless they are alone or with someone. smile

Australiana Pioneer Village

Had a big day at Wilberforce (for the Sydney fellas) yesterday. First time back for over forty years.

Being a village birthday celebration I was introduced to everyone, being a former manager for five years (back in the early seventies).
Not much had changed other than a few extra buildings.
They had a couple of nice Clydesdales unbroken but very quite, I was asked if I would break them into harness for them, but I did decline. grin

I did fall in love with a roan fella and had him nuzzling up to me. Just makes a fella sad to be getting old, otherwise I would have jumped to the request.

This will probably turn out upside down, anyone else having problems with photobucket?

I have other pics, but will try to sort out my luck with photobucket. Damn, it used to work beautifully back in the day, I wonder why I pay for it each year.

Ian, unless you're ready to pay US$400 to renew a subscription that allows you to post pics online, then you should stop paying PB!
I'm sure that either Andy or myself will sort out which of the photo hosting sites actually works real soon.
One of us will let you know where to move to

I agree with elof- I quit Photobucket and am still looking for a new (better) site.

Glad you had a good time at APV, Ian. Yes, getting old is bitter sweet. There are lots of things I consider and decline now, that would have already been done were I 20 years younger... But there are good memories....

elof,
I will appreciate it if one of you do find a decent hosting site.
I have been paying $40.00 US a year for ages just to watch the site become harder to use and get flooded with adds and a host of junk emails for my efforts, when editing my pics to turn them the right way up, it won't save them, just hangs there.
Ian.

Thanks Carl,
It was quite hot down there on Sunday and by the end of the day I was glad to be back in my old truck with its air conditioner on. smile

I also managed to make it home without getting lost this time.
Why is it that I can be out in the bush outback without the slightest chance of getting lost, but put me near a city in a vehicle and I'm buggered. grin

I'll post the pictures upside down, you might have to hang from the ceiling to see them though. grin

The first pic (the only one that turned out right side up)is an old lady that has worked at the village since the beginning and has recently suffered a stroke. A wonderful person that has devoted her life to the village and its animals.

Some of the main street.

When you do get to see them, the first one is OK, but from then on you might have to hang from the light fitting by your feet to look upside down. grin

There was a fella came up to me and said that I employed him when he had no boots and a ripped pair of jeans.
Buggered if I can remember him, but he even was able to quote the names of my four horses that I had there, even named one that I had forgotten. smile

Guess age is a curse. grin
