I got a chance to get a bunch of stuff cleaned up this winter. I don't have lots of taxidermy mounts but I got cleaned heads coming out the ying yang lol

I'm happy with them, they're taken under my own sweat. If someday I take something that makes the Boone & Crockett Club Records, then that will be a bonus grin

How did you get them so clean? I've left stuff on meat ants nests, but don't think they were that clean.

We boiled those. I think my cousin used some baking soda in the water, I'd have to check. Actually, you don't really 'boil' them, just simmer and clean. After all the gunk's off, we put a paste of concentrated hydrogen peroxide on them and wrapped some saranwrap around them to bleach them white. It was a lot of work, but came out pretty good. There's a guy here who keeps dermestid beetles to do the hard work, and that works extremely well, but is fairly expensive.

Yes, I normally boil and clean here at home, I wish my yard ponds were stocked with these little guys and not Koi !!!!
