Been having a chop off between my Rat Daddy and the other big bugger. (that I've forgotten the name of. grin)
Happens a lot these days. laugh

Anyways now that I've given up smoking for three weeks I thought I may be able to chop better and longer, that's BS.

I have noticed a lot of Lantana growing around the property that can soon get away on you, and has been dropped in here by birds.

Here's some pictures taken with my phone this morning.

My Rat Daddy

The the one I forgot the name of. grin

I must say, I never thought I'd find a knife that would beat the RD, but this other ended up more comfortable and seemed to be cutting deeper and cleaner.

Pity my aim wasn't a bit better though. grin I'm blaming eyesight here.

I believe you are correct, Its a larger knife than the RD, but lighter.

I've taken notice of things moving outta the way, lately. It ain't your eyesight. Gravity is fooling with your senses ...at least that is my story and I'm sticking to it. smile

Looks like a good time there. Keep at the chopping and your stamina will improve.

The way I figure it, any septuagenarian who does his own chopping is OK in my book. I been around folks that hire all that work out- young folks. Sometimes I worry about the young folks coming up. It seems more often than not that the everyday chores I think of as normal, are viewed by an ever increasing number of young folks as uncommon labor they should avoid.

Just the other day a fella came to me asking if I had a power saw to halve a 1/4 inch piece of dowel... when I attempted to hand him a hand saw he recoiled like the saw was hot and asked me to do it for him... As near as I could tell he was otherwise normal.
