They've been good. Nothing big but about right for the pan.

Boy..nature/evolution ran wild in Australia. Those animals are just amazing!

BTW- my nephew is in the marines and landed in Bunbury a few days ago. He's loving Australia...his 1st message to his mother was "Love it here and I'll be moving back after the service."

Great looking fish HK. I've had a terrible year fishing so far! I'll get out over the long weekend hopefully and do better.

Hope it picks up for you on the fishing RPN. These have been hungry! Mostly rainbows which you expect to take a fly of course, but even caught some brookies on a fly this year. What type of fish in your neck of the woods?

Apparently none! lol!

I'm in CT and there's a trout stocking program...plus we go for smallmouth/largemouth bass, crappie...my 5 year old is still happy with sunfish though of course! Just been slow...the waters were cool at opening day so we took a beating the 1st couple weeks. Gotta get out and log in the time!

There's good fishing around here, but I just don't seem to get around to going. frown

Several years ago they banned pro fishing (netting) in the lake, so now they've had time to really build up.
I like crabbing as well, a big feed of those fellas on fresh bread with salt and vinegar, yum. Especially if the bread is still warm from the oven. grin

RPN,
There are many thousands of American service men and women here now, they are training in the remote parts of the country with our fellas. Mostly up in the Territory.

We had a big aircraft carrier in Sydney last week, I think. Maybe the George Washington? I think that was the one. 5000 crew on board.

Ha ha! I've sure felt that way before plenty of times. Here's to hoping the streak breaks soon!

Got to buzz through the hills a little last weekend and snapped a few pictures. The view from the top:

My normal route across the canyon. I decided to take the cooler side of the hill for this trip.

Nasty little section of trail. That country's as steep as a cow's face.

But the mulberries were ripe in the bottom

Probably why there was more bear sign

And there were even a couple hungry channelcat to be caught while casting a spinner for smallmouth.

Looking across into Oregon. Those boys got 'em a nice road on their side, ha!
