I happen to agree with Carl on this. Snakes and spiders are a vital part of the ecosystem. Think of all the insects and little rodents that the world would be overrun with if there were no predators for them. There are more insects on the Earth than all the mammals combined. I read an article in high school biology that described what would happen to the Earth if all the spiders just vanished one day. The very next day, the world would be overrun with insects. These insects, without the spider as their predator, would carry diseases and bring famine. Spiders alone are pretty important...

I think I'll gladly take the snakes and spiders.

Howdy josh and other rats.

Just got a custom in that i want to share... I know its not a Rat but please bear with me LOL.

About a 14" blade running about 20" OAL and is just over .25" thick. Its called the Deimos War Machete.



And here you can see a size comparison with some of its new brothers.

LOL. Probably a big salty will come along and swallow the lot. grin

Apparently they get to 18/20 foot in some of the areas, that 's one big croc.
About the largest I've seen would have been around 14 feet and that was out on the Roper River near Gin Gin, out towards Arnhem Land NT. They make my hair stand on end. laugh

18-20 foot long crocodiles...yeah, I'll try to steer clear of that. YIKES shocked
