This is my little lady, she's part Husky, Border Collie and my father swears part wolf. I've had her about four years now and she knows she's got it good. She is a pretty good dog. She caught a possum the other morning and presented it to me like she had just mauled a bear or something. She was so proud. In the second picture, she's mad at me for not letting her catch the "toy" in the yard. That toy was one of the neighbor's kittens. She was so mad that she wouldn't even look at me.

Twister, the lap dog…

All 3 boys here.

Lap dogs smile

Growing up I'd heard the term "lap dog" and just figured they ran laps, like greyhounds, to stay in shape. smile

My cat is a lap cat....

DB, Being three males, do they ever get into brawls ?

I know that when I had Stan, there would be no way that I could have another male in the place.

He was fine with our Kelpie (female), in fact he would usually let her go to the feed dish first, a couple of times she tried to take his bone of him, and that would cause him to fire up. grin

She was always safe though, as she could easily out run him. laugh

Ian, two of the boys are brothers (twister and Edmund), so sometimes they act like brothers. They get into it occasionally but we can usually tell when it's coming. The posturing gets a lot more frequent and then next thing you know.... Of course it always tends to happen when I'm gone and my wife has to pull them apart.

LOL. She would be impressed with that.

We had a dog fight here, some years ago now, I was up the bush loading bushrock as I did everyday.
My wife tried everything she could, throwing buckets of water only livened them up, they went for nearly two hours until I drove in and pulled them apart.
The old dog ended up having a heart attack and died an hour later.

One was a Bull Mastiff and the other an English Mastiff, I never kept two males after that. grin

There is slways the problem of "alpha" with males. Like Ian, I only keep one male favoring peace and lower vet expense. That said, my female 6 pound poodle 17 years old and blind is alpha among cats, dogs, birds and humans in our house.

There is a great horned owl that tried for her once (she was younger) and she attacked. To be fair, I had distracted it, otherwise she would have fattened that owl. smile

I didn't want to ruin the little girl next door's day. She loves her kittens and I would feel terrible knowing that I had let Jaz destroy something so dear to her.

Great pictures everyone! Pets are better than people a good majority of the time.
