He can shoot that is for sure (15 now but started coming bush with his father and I from about 4 !) He just bought his own Remington 700 in .270Win.

...and THAT is the name of the game. Get them young and bring them up bush. Sounds like he is well on his way, Andy.

Just picked up a nice used BDL for my boy in .270. It's hard to beat for an all-arounder.

Have been thinking I might get one more dog. This breed interests me, but I will need to spend some time with one or more before I decide. Your Kelpie got me thinking....

I've been going bush pretty much alone for the last 10 or so years. Might be good to have a friend who enjoys the hunt as much as I (and doesn't feel the need to do more than just BE there).
