Well dangit, oh well any of those Hinderer scales are better than the terrible looking one that comes on it.

Yep, all are more attractive. Even the pink is better than that "brick" pattern.

But given the choices, and I'd move fast if you want the scale.....I'd go FDE first.

I have a lot of folders...too many. I'd kind of like to sell a bunch to fund fixed blades in the Busse and Kin family. I do regularly carry a folder still though.

Benchmade Griptilian and Adamas are my top two, followed by a Paramilitary 2. I enjoy owning the BM860 Persian, but rarely carry it. I was also given a 710 for Christmas that seems to be a really quality blade. I tend to like the axis lock and the compression lock, and I like blades that have a little beef to them. Despite that, the PM2 is still a really quality slicer and since I use the folder for mostly small slicing tasks I have a very good experience and opinion of it.

My 0560 is not for me, it's weird. It's slicing geometry doesn't seem that good or effective. Maybe I just have to wicked edge it. Also I once chipped it doing something REALLY minimal, something which I've seen happen to a few other 0560s so I'm dubious about the heat treat on a few of them. I've also never loved frame locks, which makes me think the hinderers might not be for me.

On the cheaper end I do kind of enjoy occasionally carrying my Cold Steel Recon 1 spear point but generally I fear admitting that in knife communities before someone goes on a Lynn Thompson rampage.

I don't see things the same way you do on many things you posted. But that's the beauty of things. What's right for me and my needs / wants may not be right for you. And the opposite is true as well.

You and Josh both. Do you guys share the same one?

Perhaps it's a perk of the job. As good as you girls do at keeping customers happy, it's a well-deserved perk.

Well mine might be changing with the release of the ZT 566.
